19th European meeting on Fire Retardant Polymeric Materials (FRPM23)

Empa is delighted to host the upcoming edition of the European Meeting on Fire Retardant Polymeric Materials. Over the past 15 years, the Laboratory of Advanced Fibers at Empa has been active in the development of new flame retardants for applications in textiles, engineering plastics, thermosets and wood. The key competence of Empa in this research field is the synthesis of organophosphorus compounds, their application, evaluation of their mode of action and their preliminary toxicity assessment.

FRPM23 will bring together experts in the field and aims at boosting multidisciplinary exchanges between industry and academia.
