July 1st, 2015: endure project meeting
The seminar aims to present the current situation concerning the use of composite materials in construction from scientific and practical viewpoints. In the first part of the day, Early Stage Researchers from the Marie Curie Initial Training Network «endure» will present ongoing research projects. The endure project started in October 2013 and includes 14 partner institutions from 11 European countries. The aim of the network is to train a new generation of researchers in the use of advanced composites for construction so as to develop and maintain a critical mass of research groups that will address the main scientific challenges in the field, enable the development of advanced material standards and design guidelines, coordinate European research, and offer a link between academia and industry. More information can be found on www.endure-itn.eu. The second part of the day will include several presentations by industry partners regarding outstanding projects in the use of advanced composite materials in construction.
