CSEM's Headquarters, Rue Jaquet-Droz 1, 2002 Neuchâtel
At this year's technology briefing entitled “Sensors: from academic research to industrial use”, three renowned Swiss research institutes, Empa, PSI and CSEM will present the latest innovative solutions and new technologies available in this area. They will assess what new benefits the sensors field has to offer and demonstrate how Swiss companies can increase their competitiveness by utilizing these new ideas.
Digitalization is bringing about rapid changes in our society; in tomorrow's world, sensors will be everywhere you turn, forming the heart of the Internet of Things (IoT). Every, machine, car, house or person will be equipped with sensors. These devices will meet every need imaginable, across all industry sectors; from chemical sensors and physical sensors to measure temperature and vibration to even more intelligent vision sensors—sensors that can measure the structural integrity of bridges and tunnels and sensors that monitor human health parameters—the list is endless. What remains clear however, is that for Swiss industry to remain competitive it must begin to adopt and embrace these types of devices today.
Helping to drive acceptance of such devices on the market, the major Swiss research centers and their industrial partners are already paving the way, by establishing Switzerland’s reputation to provide the variety and reliability of sensors needed for the future.
This event will take place at CSEM's Headquarters, Rue Jaquet-Droz 1, 2002 Neuchâtel, Switzerland (access map).
This event will be held in English, and will be closed with a networking apéro.
